- Tom assigns Steph the task of launching TerraCycle's Public Locations Pilot Program in the United States, replicating the success they had with it in the United Kingdom. Steph must recruit and motivate a volunteer to hit certain benchmarks and quick. It's not an easy job, but the goal is to prove this program's viability to their partner, Malt-O-Meal, on a small scale before they commit to a nationwide roll out. Meanwhile, Rhandi has hired a new salesperson to the team, Rich, and Dan immediately sizes him up. Dan and Rhandi learn that Rich is an old-school salesman. While Rich's sales style may vary, he begins to hold his own and Dan starts to feel the heat. On the other side of the office, Steph and Sara find the perfect volunteer for the program. Steph enlists Dean to help film a training video to go along with her presentation of the public locations program. Steph and Dean visit their program volunteer at their eco club and with Dean's cameras rolling, Steph explains the program to the club members. Steph and Dean plan to return to film the club's collection progress and check in on how many cereal liners they can gather. After a disappointing half-point check-in with their volunteer, Steph and Dean return to the eco club after a few weeks anxious to see their progress and hoping they hit the quota needed for a successful pilot. The volunteers reveal bags full of cereal liners, much to Steph's relief. Dean films as Steph helps the club prepare their cereal liners for shipment. Elsewhere, tensions are at an all-time high between Dan and Rich as the sales battle wages on. Rich invites Dan out to lunch in his old school ride, which Dan grudgingly accepts. Over lunch at the local diner, Dan admits that Rich is a formidable competitor, but Rich was unaware there was even a competition between them.
